I worked with Kelly on a fast-turnaround market and company assessment. Her ability to provide meaningful insight and extensive data support had a very real impact on our go-forward analysis.

The strength of the end product was the direct result of her listening agility and flexibility (frequently with less than 24 hours to adjust) combined with her deep market knowledge and strong industry relationships.

Highly recommend Kelly and look forward to having the opportunity to work with her again.

I’ve known Kelly for 10 years and had the opportunity to have Kelly as a part of my team (business unit) in the 2012 to 2014 time frame. Aside from her chronically positive attitude and demeanor, Kelly brought true marketing skill sets to the role, and then, and perhaps more importantly, would work methodically to deploy and utilize these skills to identify and then go after opportunities. This approach and skill set should be a cornerstone of any market driven company. And in the end, shouldn’t all business efforts be market driven?
— Matt Timmons, Vice President OEM at The Lubrizol Corporation

I’ve had the privilege of teaching voice-of-customer methods to thousands of B2B professionals, and Kelly is one of the very best I’ve seen! She has an amazing capability for gaining deep customer insights, not only in qualitative interviews... but in unfiltered, unbiased, straight-from-the-customer quantitative interviews as well. In fact, Kelly is in that small group of professionals that have truly mastered the entire front end of B2B innovation!

I worked with Kelly on a technology project to lower costs and boost performance in the industrial color labeling market. Throughout this project Kelly demonstrated a mastery in driving complex development projects. Even though multiple vendors and technologies made for a quite challenging environment, Kelly managed all the parts together to produce a successful result. Then, she demonstrated her strong marketing acumen, in driving several key marketing initiatives to boost the solution’s acceptance. Clearly she has a broad skill set that would enable her to succeed in a wide range of environments and challenges. And, on top of all this competency, she is also just a friendly and great person to work with

I had the great fortune to collaborate with Kelly Lawrence for several years to shape the commercial and technical needs of the Digital Print Marketplace. Kelly was instrumental in identifying and shaping market dynamics in this rapidly changing field. Her insight into both direct customers and end-use product users was critical in growing the business from early adopters to significant OEM’s. She consistently demonstrated leadership qualities in a very complex commercial environment that required both technical innovation and a deep understanding of application economics in order to achieve success. Her direction of cross-functional teams via the Stage-Gate process from Marketing, Procurement, Regulatory Legal and Manufacturing drove commercialization of several market changing products. An enthusiastic team-player, Kelly was known for motivating team members to reach both individual and team potentials. Many of the collaborations with Kelly were not only technically difficult, but nearly all our projects were run under difficult time pressures. Kelly consistently confronted difficult decisions with transparency and with an analytical approach to problem solving. Her deep market insights allowed us to collaborate on technical and commercial strategic roadmaps that defined future directions for our business unit.

I collaborated with Kelly on a project to improve our label printing process globally. While I focused and led the software and hardware sides, Kelly drove the initiative to use our own technology in the formulation of the topcoat for the label stock. Separately, we were trying to achieve our own goals. She lead the efforts to bring the two groups together to accomplish our goals more efficiently. She is detail oriented and passionate about the products that she markets. The project would not have been a success without her.
— Kevin Sklarek, Service Owner at The Lubrizol Corporation

At the end of the day, large B2B companies have a single objective: to increase profitability year over year, at a faster rate than competitors. And yet, few do it well. Almost none. Due to turnover, changes in leadership, and quite frankly – a compulsion to keep the balance sheet looking like a perfect relic. It’s as if the financial statements are be stored in a museum for admiration. Of course, this will not be good enough! Companies must grow to be healthy. And grow in a real way, not just through financial engineering. Shareholders and investors are not fooled.

In this environment, companies need talented resources to call upon to keep the growth pipeline healthy. Kelly Lawrence has the perfect combination of assets to make this happen. First, she uses a market-driven approach, leveraging “voice of customer” techniques to uncover market opportunities. Next, she has an elite talent for communication. By helping the organization – from product management to leadership – to understand the size, risks, and rewards of new initiatives, she drives alignment so that the enterprise can act decisively. Finally, she has the project management chops to execute, managing costs and risks along the way.

The inconvenient thing about the future is that it always comes! Companies always want growth faster, but ironically, often delay getting started. Don’t make this mistake!!! Engage with Kelly’s company, and start making progress towards a more profitable future!
— Scott Burleson, Sr. VP at The AIM Institute
